Skedulo’s high capacity scheduling technology will be part of a state rollout to streamline the scheduling and administration of COVID vaccines
January 26, 2021 (San Francisco) – On Monday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the state’s COVID-19 vaccination strategy, which includes its partnership with Skedulo, the leader in deskless productivity software, as well as Salesforce and Accenture, for the state’s “MyTurn” program.
MyTurn will enable Californians to sign up for text or email alerts for when they are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and Skedulo’s technology will assist in efficient and effective scheduling for both doses of the vaccine statewide, which encompasses nearly 40M people.
Gov. Newsom expressed that he is encouraged by California’s strategy, and said during a live press conference, “We have an incredible team, incredible partnerships with Salesforce, Accenture and Skedulo, which is one of the more interesting startup companies here in the state of California.”
Skedulo has played a key role in the testing, and now vaccine distribution, of COVID-19. Notably, through its partnership with BioReference Labs, Skedulo helped coordinate more than 1.4M COVID-19 tests for more than 1,000 patients per day.
“The world is at a critical turning point, and Skedulo’s innovation is a driving force behind that change,” said Skedulo’s executive vice president of marketing, Miles Kelly. “Our high capacity scheduling technology has the ability to assist state governments with efficiently distributing the COVID-19 vaccine, and we look forward to our role in getting Californians vaccinated.”
